This afternoon, we’ll head to the Old Port area, for a walking tour and visit to the Museum of Archaeology at Pointe-a-Calliere. There will be free time to shop local artisan shops at Bonsecours Market, visit some of the five historic museums in the area, or grab a drink of coffee or enjoy a drink with the after-work crowd. We’ll meet up again in from of the Basilica for the multi-media light and sound show and dinner at one of the neighborhood restaurants.

Day 2- Laurentian Mountains

We’ll head into the mountains today, beginning in St. Joseph du Lac. We’ll stop at an apple orchard for a cider sampling and one of the region vineyards for a wine tasting. We’ll continue to cheese sampling and honey production in Mirabel. We’ll have lunch in St. Saveur, with time to explore the shops and galleries along rue Principal. There will be a stop at the factory outlets, before heading to the famous Laval flower farms. You’ll have your choice of dinner spots at Centropolis, home to a variety of restaurants and shops.

Day 3 – St. Jean sur Richelieu

A short ride from Montreal, the Richelieu River Valley is famous for its agricultural and natural history. In St. Jean, we’ll take a river cruise, challenge our skills at a labyrinth maze, and visit the Petite Colony for a living history exhibit. Lunch will be a special menu chosen from local products. We’ll spend the afternoon visiting a cheese producer, chocolate shop, and producer of Quebec’s ice apple wines. The casino of Montreal, in buildings constructed for Expo ‘67, will be our destination for dinner.

Day 4 – Montreal

We’re in Montreal today, visiting the McCord Museum, Montreal and Museum of Fine Arts in the morning. This afternoon, we’ll experience the Biodome (and indoor exhibition of flora and fauna), Botanic Garden and Insectarium. We will have dinner and entertainment at the House of the International Jazz Festival.

Day 5 – Trois Rivieres

We’ll take the Kings Route, through small villages and past manoir residences, to Trois Rivières. We’ll visit the Museum of Folk Culture, Borealis, and the Military Museum. We can choose to stroll the public Heritage Tour Circuit or follow the Poetry Trail in the downtown area. Following a dinner buffet, we’ll hop on the highway for a quick return to our Montreal hotel.

Day 6 – Montebello

We’ll have the opportunity to view wild moose, caribou, wolves and other animals in their natural habitat when we visit Park Omega. We’ll dine at the Fairmont Chateau Montebello and then tour the historic buildings on Notre Dame Street. Our final dinner in Quebec will be at an authentic sugar shack.
